Admin is unable to login after the last step of the setup

Description

At least when using the embedded database this isnt working as the setup instructions are saying. On the last step of Openfire setup admin is presented with the button to login. But he cant until he restarts the Openfire. Something should be fixed. Openfire should let one to login immediately and not to misslead the new Openfire users or this step should inform that one actually need to restart the server prior to logging in to the Admin Console.

This should be discussed in the forums. From your description it doesn't look like the same issue. Do you have a forum thread for this?

Only confirmed issues are filed in the tracker by a few users with permissions. Others can only comment or vote.

I realize this is closed, but I'm not able to make a new issue (at least can't find the button anywhere!).

I am having this same problem on a fresh install of 3.8.2.

At the admin login screen, putting in my chosen credentials during setup does not allow me to log in, even after restarting the server.

Instead, inserting the credentials admin / admin does allow me to log in.
