This could be especially useful, because Spark is starting up in the middle of the screen if you have moved it little bit of the screen during the last session.

I cannot change all of our corporate users from Pidgin (with docking) to Spark without docking. This feature
Another reason for a dockable buddy list, is for other maximized windows not to cover the buddy list. But not like "always on top", no overlapping of windows is very nice for my users.
